After my hot water heater burst & leaked inside my house, my plumber recommended American Response Team. Felipe was extremely helpful & professional, explaining everything at every step of the water mitigation process. He came almost daily to check on the equipment & answer questions. On the eve of a long-planned vacation, a leak in my roof (overhead plumbing) caused my family room ceiling to crash into the floor, causing a huge mess and no small amount of panic. Based on nothing more than good Google reviews, I called American Restoration and within 20 minutes, Felipe was there to assess the situation, develop a plan of action, call in help to clean up the mess, and make me confident enough to leave things in his hands while I enjoyed my trip. Communication was outstanding, and the job was done professionally and efficiently. beverly kanawiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Based on 205 reviews We had an excellent experience with American Response Team. After discovering a leak in the our bathroom we contacted ART. Christian and his team did an excellent job of identifying the problem, containing the issue and guiding us through the process. Moises was very helpful with handling insurance related activities and the business side of things. Jesus was awesome as project coordinator overseeing repairs, restoration and communicating with subcontractors. They all were very professional, respectful of our home and responsive to our needs. Great job! Cheryl M. American Response Team (ART) responds quickly and does good quality work. I had a leak in one of my ground floor bathrooms which damaged part of the wall and some of the flooring in a nearby hallway, and ART helped mitigate the water damage and replace the flooring. During the reconstruction process, a couple more leaks/water damage were identified in other parts of the house, along with some plumbing issues, that ART also dealt with quickly and effectively. We did have a misunderstanding regarding the extent of the flooring reconstruction. In my initial conversation with ART, they offered to replace ALL the flooring on my ground floor (so all the new flooring would match), but I declined this offer (knowing that this would cost more + be more disruptive to my tenants). I made clear that ONLY the damaged flooring should be replaced. ART then updated their plan/estimate in agreement with my request. However, at some point during the reconstruction process, a decision was made to replace ALL the flooring on my ground floor, including the undamaged flooring in the family room and kitchen. I was not notified about this change of plans, and only discovered it after all the repairs had been completed. Of course I was frustrated, and contacted the ART contractors to ask why the initial agreement had not been followed. ART explained to me that it is extremely common to replace all the flooring, once the insurance company is involved and sending reimbursement payments....which I understand, but I was still upset that our initial agreement wasn't followed. ART did help negotiate with my insurance company to get additional reimbursement payments sent to me, which I appreciate. However, in this case I would advise A) clearly defining what exactly needs to be replaced/repaired, and B) double-checking that the agreed-upon repair/reconstruction plan is being followed, especially once the insurance company is involved. Ben A. We had American Response Team to fix water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It wasn't a great situation to be going through, but I was happier going through it with them. Everyone I worked with was friendly and cared about getting my house restored. Lupita M. This review is long overdue. We had to call American Response Team at the end of last year for water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It was a stressful situation, but after I filed a claim with the insurance, they handled everything. Everyone on the team was very professional. We first met with Manny, who came back as many times as needed to dry the water-damaged area. The restoration crew, managed efficiently by Arturo, was hardworking and super friendly. Thank you, American Response Team! Claire T. Amazing from start to finish! Initial assessment, communication, customer service...ALL positive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Shout out to Director of Operations, Jimmy! Melissa G. We've had to call on American Response Team twice now--both times for the same general area in our home. The first time was about 2.5 years ago, and unfortunately, a new leak developed in the same area recently, this time coming from the toilet. Understandably, I was initially concerned that this might have been due to the original installation--perhaps a reused wax ring or something missed. However, I really appreciated how the owner, Will, handled the situation. He took the time to personally speak with me, look up our original file, and even went as far as sending photos from the original job showing that the wax ring installed was indeed brand new. That level of follow-through and transparency was very reassuring. Both times we've used them, their response time and communication have been excellent. They were professional, efficient, and respectful of our home. While I obviously hope I won't need their services again anytime soon, it's a relief to know that if I do, I'll be in good hands. Highly recommend American Response Team for their integrity and customer service. Samuel C. Outstanding and professional company!! highly recommend to anyone looking for water remediation, and the best part is that they also handle repairs . manuel c. July 2024, pipe burst causing water damage to kitchen and 2 bathrooms. American Response Team handled the cleanup and repairs. 9 months later, work is complete. I would like to thank Moises Cibrian, Operations Manager, for coordinating the repairs. Thank you for your help and patience. In particular, however, I commend Arturo Meza, Project Coordinator. When things got dicey due to insurance issues, communication issues, work quality, etc., I could always count on Arturo to answer my calls for help in a matter of minutes. He was always able to resolve issues in a timely manner and keep me informed. Dependable, available, reliable, a true professional. And he kept me sane, seeing me through the entire process. Additionally, I want to thank all of the mitigation folks and vendors for their hard work. Maureen C. Called with a concern of mold from a leak and Tony came out the very next day. He was on time, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, thorough with his inspection, and most importantly he was honest! He was straight up with his findings - which was way better than I anticipated. Jimmy also came out a separate time for another mold concern in our bathroom. He was all the things Tony was and also gave me some really great advice that didn't require me to hire them. It such a breath of fresh air to have quality companies like this still exist where they are there to help and not trying to take advantage of you! If you're in need of (possible) mold assistance, call these guys!! You'll be so glad you did! Jessica D. This review is in response to the business owner's comment from my previous post: Hello William, Thank you for your response. However, I won't be changing my rating because my husband and I don't agree with the things you said. If you think my previous review was incorrect or an attempt to slander your business, sue me. I can show proofs that everything I said was true. Let's break down the discrepancies: You mentioned the wood was out of stock, your team looked for suppliers and settle where to buy it. But we already found a supplier who held the wood for us. In fact, the reason we chose that specific wood was because it was available in stock, within our budgeted cost per sqft, and could have it delivered by Dec 26th. We called your team from the wood store and have them exchange information with the seller, this was done from our phone while we were in the wood store. Your team didn't follow through. We would've chosen another wood if what we choose wasn't available. Also, your team did forget to work in our bathroom. They didn't come back to fix it until we called to make complaint. The floor replacement was already done several days prior to that. The sink has pre-existing condition? It was perfectly fine pre leak for more than 8 years. Your team demo the vanity & left it in our backyard for almost two months. The sink didn't fell apart until your team came along. You mentioned "free of charge" repeatedly. Let's be real, American Response Team received close to 50k from our homeowners insurance claim payout. Your company was well compensated for the work but why are you making it sounds like they are done for free. We, the homeowners, are the one who had to dealt with the hassle and inconveniences when it come to water damage. The damage and repair disturbs our day to day lives for months. We were moving from air bnb to hotels for several weeks due to reconstruction, the change in living arrangements was very challenging for our two young children. Your team could've advised us not to move out of the house yet if they can't start work right away. We only moved out because we were told they would start work right away and could be done within 2-3 weeks. But turned out they just wanted us to sign a contract. After we vacate our house, your team took 5 weeks to complete the job. Our children would've loved to spend Christmas in our own house had we known they won't be doing much work in our house that week anyway. Thank you for the work but please be upfront about what's getting done and when it will get done, there were so many ways things could've been handled better in our situation. Julia M.

Fires can seriously harm your home's bones, like the walls and roof. Smoke can also sneak into everything, making your house smell terrible and leaving a yucky film.
Even after the fire is out, you might have another problem: water! The hoses firefighters use or your home's sprinklers can soak everything, leading to mildew, mold, and damaged belongings.
Fire can mess up your home's wiring, making it unsafe to use lights or appliances. This can be very dangerous and needs to be fixed by a pro.
Dealing with insurance after a fire can feel like a big, confusing puzzle. There are lots of forms and rules, and it can be hard to get all the money you need to fix your home.
Imagine you're cooking dinner and something sizzles a little too much on the stove. There might be a bit of smoky smell in the air, but the fire didn't spread. It's like when you burn toast, and the smell hangs around for a bit. Our job is to make that smell disappear completely, so your home smells fresh again!
Sometimes, a hot pan or a misplaced candle can leave a little dark mark on your counter or table. These aren't deep burns that hurt the strength of your house, but they can look yucky. Think of it like a little scuff mark on your shoe – it doesn't break the shoe, but you'd want to clean it off. We fix these little marks so your surfaces look as good as new!
Fire can mess up your home's wiring, making it unsafe to use lights or appliances. This can be very dangerous and needs to be fixed by a pro.
Candles can sometimes drip wax or leave soot marks, and fireplaces can sometimes kick out a little ash. These aren't big, scary fires, but they can make a mess. It's like when you're doing an art project and get paint on the floor – it's not a disaster, but it needs cleaning. We're here to tidy up all the little bits of mess so your home is sparkling clean and safe again.
If you’re unsure, we offer free damage evaluations. No pressure, just clarity.
DIY is only safe for very minor cases, like smoke odor after a small stove fire or surface soot from a candle mishap. For everything else, certified remediation is critical. See our blog: What to Do Immediately After a House Fire.
When firefighters put out a fire, they use a lot of water.
This water can soak into your walls, floors, and furniture. If it doesn’t dry out quickly, mold can start to grow.
Mold is a type of fungus that looks fuzzy and can be black, green, or white. It can make you sick and also damage your home even more.
For more information, see our guide: Mold After Water Damage – Timeline and Prevention.
Smoke from a fire can get into everything.
It’s not just the smell you notice right away; tiny smoke particles can settle deep into your walls, furniture, and even the fluffy insulation inside your walls.
This means the smell can linger for a very long time, making your house smell like an old campfire even after the fire is gone.
A fire can make the strong parts of your house, like the wooden beams and support walls, weaker.
Heat can make wood char and become brittle, and water can make things sag.
If these important parts get too weak, your house might not be safe to be in, and there’s a risk of parts of it collapsing.
After a fire, you’ll likely need to file a claim with your insurance company to help pay for repairs.
If you don’t have good records of all the damage, what was lost, and what needs to be fixed, your insurance company might take a long time to approve your claim, or they might even say they won’t pay for everything.
It’s like trying to get a refund at a store without your receipt – it’s much harder!
If you don’t fix all the damage from a fire right away and correctly, it can end up costing you more money in the future.
For example, if you don’t remove all the smoke odor, you might have to spend more money later on to try and get rid of it.
Or, if mold grows and spreads because the water wasn’t dried properly, you’ll have to pay even more to get rid of the mold and fix the damage it caused.
It’s usually cheaper to fix things right the first time.
Fire damage worsens by the hour. Don’t risk your safety or your claim.
