After my hot water heater burst & leaked inside my house, my plumber recommended American Response Team. Felipe was extremely helpful & professional, explaining everything at every step of the water mitigation process. He came almost daily to check on the equipment & answer questions. All the moisture was successfully eliminated & now I am just waiting on repairs. I hope I won't their services again, but if I do I will definitely use this company. On the eve of a long-planned vacation, a leak in my roof (overhead plumbing) caused my family room ceiling to crash into the floor, causing a huge mess and no small amount of panic. Based on nothing more than good Google reviews, I called American Restoration and within 20 minutes, Felipe was there to assess the situation, develop a plan of action, call in help to clean up the mess, and make me confident enough to leave things in his hands while I enjoyed my trip. Communication was outstanding, and the job was done professionally and efficiently. beverly kanawiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Based on 205 reviews We had an excellent experience with American Response Team. After discovering a leak in the our bathroom we contacted ART. Christian and his team did an excellent job of identifying the problem, containing the issue and guiding us through the process. Moises was very helpful with handling insurance related activities and the business side of things. Jesus was awesome as project coordinator overseeing repairs, restoration and communicating with subcontractors. They all were very professional, respectful of our home and responsive to our needs. Great job! Cheryl M. American Response Team (ART) responds quickly and does good quality work. I had a leak in one of my ground floor bathrooms which damaged part of the wall and some of the flooring in a nearby hallway, and ART helped mitigate the water damage and replace the flooring. During the reconstruction process, a couple more leaks/water damage were identified in other parts of the house, along with some plumbing issues, that ART also dealt with quickly and effectively. We did have a misunderstanding regarding the extent of the flooring reconstruction. In my initial conversation with ART, they offered to replace ALL the flooring on my ground floor (so all the new flooring would match), but I declined this offer (knowing that this would cost more + be more disruptive to my tenants). I made clear that ONLY the damaged flooring should be replaced. ART then updated their plan/estimate in agreement with my request. However, at some point during the reconstruction process, a decision was made to replace ALL the flooring on my ground floor, including the undamaged flooring in the family room and kitchen. I was not notified about this change of plans, and only discovered it after all the repairs had been completed. Of course I was frustrated, and contacted the ART contractors to ask why the initial agreement had not been followed. ART explained to me that it is extremely common to replace all the flooring, once the insurance company is involved and sending reimbursement payments....which I understand, but I was still upset that our initial agreement wasn't followed. ART did help negotiate with my insurance company to get additional reimbursement payments sent to me, which I appreciate. However, in this case I would advise A) clearly defining what exactly needs to be replaced/repaired, and B) double-checking that the agreed-upon repair/reconstruction plan is being followed, especially once the insurance company is involved. Ben A. We had American Response Team to fix water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It wasn't a great situation to be going through, but I was happier going through it with them. Everyone I worked with was friendly and cared about getting my house restored. Lupita M. This review is long overdue. We had to call American Response Team at the end of last year for water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It was a stressful situation, but after I filed a claim with the insurance, they handled everything. Everyone on the team was very professional. We first met with Manny, who came back as many times as needed to dry the water-damaged area. The restoration crew, managed efficiently by Arturo, was hardworking and super friendly. Thank you, American Response Team! Claire T. Amazing from start to finish! Initial assessment, communication, customer service...ALL positive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Shout out to Director of Operations, Jimmy! Melissa G. We've had to call on American Response Team twice now--both times for the same general area in our home. The first time was about 2.5 years ago, and unfortunately, a new leak developed in the same area recently, this time coming from the toilet. Understandably, I was initially concerned that this might have been due to the original installation--perhaps a reused wax ring or something missed. However, I really appreciated how the owner, Will, handled the situation. He took the time to personally speak with me, look up our original file, and even went as far as sending photos from the original job showing that the wax ring installed was indeed brand new. That level of follow-through and transparency was very reassuring. Both times we've used them, their response time and communication have been excellent. They were professional, efficient, and respectful of our home. While I obviously hope I won't need their services again anytime soon, it's a relief to know that if I do, I'll be in good hands. Highly recommend American Response Team for their integrity and customer service. Samuel C. Outstanding and professional company!! highly recommend to anyone looking for water remediation, and the best part is that they also handle repairs . manuel c. July 2024, pipe burst causing water damage to kitchen and 2 bathrooms. American Response Team handled the cleanup and repairs. 9 months later, work is complete. I would like to thank Moises Cibrian, Operations Manager, for coordinating the repairs. Thank you for your help and patience. In particular, however, I commend Arturo Meza, Project Coordinator. When things got dicey due to insurance issues, communication issues, work quality, etc., I could always count on Arturo to answer my calls for help in a matter of minutes. He was always able to resolve issues in a timely manner and keep me informed. Dependable, available, reliable, a true professional. And he kept me sane, seeing me through the entire process. Additionally, I want to thank all of the mitigation folks and vendors for their hard work. Maureen C. Called with a concern of mold from a leak and Tony came out the very next day. He was on time, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, thorough with his inspection, and most importantly he was honest! He was straight up with his findings - which was way better than I anticipated. Jimmy also came out a separate time for another mold concern in our bathroom. He was all the things Tony was and also gave me some really great advice that didn't require me to hire them. It such a breath of fresh air to have quality companies like this still exist where they are there to help and not trying to take advantage of you! If you're in need of (possible) mold assistance, call these guys!! You'll be so glad you did! Jessica D. This review is in response to the business owner's comment from my previous post: Hello William, Thank you for your response. However, I won't be changing my rating because my husband and I don't agree with the things you said. If you think my previous review was incorrect or an attempt to slander your business, sue me. I can show proofs that everything I said was true. Let's break down the discrepancies: You mentioned the wood was out of stock, your team looked for suppliers and settle where to buy it. But we already found a supplier who held the wood for us. In fact, the reason we chose that specific wood was because it was available in stock, within our budgeted cost per sqft, and could have it delivered by Dec 26th. We called your team from the wood store and have them exchange information with the seller, this was done from our phone while we were in the wood store. Your team didn't follow through. We would've chosen another wood if what we choose wasn't available. Also, your team did forget to work in our bathroom. They didn't come back to fix it until we called to make complaint. The floor replacement was already done several days prior to that. The sink has pre-existing condition? It was perfectly fine pre leak for more than 8 years. Your team demo the vanity & left it in our backyard for almost two months. The sink didn't fell apart until your team came along. You mentioned "free of charge" repeatedly. Let's be real, American Response Team received close to 50k from our homeowners insurance claim payout. Your company was well compensated for the work but why are you making it sounds like they are done for free. We, the homeowners, are the one who had to dealt with the hassle and inconveniences when it come to water damage. The damage and repair disturbs our day to day lives for months. We were moving from air bnb to hotels for several weeks due to reconstruction, the change in living arrangements was very challenging for our two young children. Your team could've advised us not to move out of the house yet if they can't start work right away. We only moved out because we were told they would start work right away and could be done within 2-3 weeks. But turned out they just wanted us to sign a contract. After we vacate our house, your team took 5 weeks to complete the job. Our children would've loved to spend Christmas in our own house had we known they won't be doing much work in our house that week anyway. Thank you for the work but please be upfront about what's getting done and when it will get done, there were so many ways things could've been handled better in our situation. Julia M.

While minor mold growth might seem manageable, certain indicators necessitate professional intervention.
Often, mold growth can be hidden behind walls, under flooring, or in attics and crawl spaces. A musty odor, even without visible mold, is a strong indicator that a professional inspection is needed to locate and address the hidden source.
Any incident involving water intrusion, such as a burst pipe, leaky roof, or flood, creates an ideal environment for mold to thrive. Even if the area appears dry, moisture can linger and lead to mold growth within 24-48 hours. A thorough inspection is crucial to prevent widespread contamination and structural damage.
A pre-purchase mold inspection can protect buyers from unforeseen remediation costs and health risks. For sellers, addressing potential mold issues proactively can facilitate a smoother sale and increase buyer confidence, avoiding last-minute complications during escrow.
Persistent or unexplained health issues like respiratory problems (coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath), allergies, skin irritation, headaches, or fatigue can be linked to mold exposure. If these symptoms worsen indoors or improve when away from the property, a professional mold inspection can help determine if indoor air quality is a contributing factor.
It’s sometimes okay to clean small patches of mold on non-porous surfaces like tile. But if the mold is widespread, hidden, or linked to water damage, you need professionals.
Our team follows strict containment protocols and uses HEPA air filtration—tools that DIY methods can’t match.
For long-term protection, we recommend mold-resistant materials when remodeling or repairing affected areas.
Imagine leaving a wet towel in a dark, warm place. Soon, it might start to smell funny and get little fuzzy spots. Mold is similar! It loves places that are damp and doesn't need much light to grow. If your house has a lot of moisture, like from a leaky pipe or a humid bathroom, mold can spread very fast, almost like a tiny plant growing quickly.
When mold grows, it releases tiny spores into the air, which are like super small seeds. If you breathe in too many of these spores, it can make you feel sick. Some people might start to cough a lot or have trouble breathing, like when you have a stuffy nose. Others might feel tired all the time or have trouble thinking clearly, like when your brain feels a little foggy.
If you try to sell your house and there's mold, it can be a big problem. Buyers might not want to buy a house with mold because they know it's unhealthy and expensive to fix. This can make it take much longer to sell your house, or even make the sale fall through completely. Also, sometimes insurance companies won't pay for mold damage if they think you didn't fix a problem, like a leak, quickly enough.
Mold doesn't just stay on the surface; it can grow deep into things. If it gets into your HVAC system (that's the heating and air conditioning that circulates air through your house), it can spread mold spores all over. If it gets into the wooden beams or walls of your house, called the framing, it can weaken them over time, like how termites can eat wood. Fixing these kinds of mold problems is much more expensive because it involves a lot more work and might even mean tearing down parts of your house.
