They are excellent communicators and very trustworthy. They do great quality work and are quick to respond. Definitely highly recommended! Michael Chew13. May, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We’ve had to call on American Response Team twice now—both times for the same general area in our home. The first time was about 2.5 years ago, and unfortunately, a new leak developed in the same area recently, this time coming from the toilet. Understandably, I was initially concerned that this might have been due to the original installation—perhaps a reused wax ring or something missed. However, I really appreciated how the owner, Will, handled the situation. He took the time to personally speak with me, look up our original file, and even went as far as sending photos from the original job showing that the wax ring installed was indeed brand new. That level of follow-through and transparency was very reassuring. Both times we’ve used them, their response time and communication have been excellent. They were professional, efficient, and respectful of our home. While I obviously hope I won’t need their services again anytime soon, it’s a relief to know that if I do, I’ll be in good hands. Highly recommend American Response Team for their integrity and customer service. Sam Spiegel16. April, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. American Response Team is fantastic! Their crew is fast, efficient, and gets the job done right the first time. I’ve been consistently impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable team to take care of their property—you’re in great hands! Sandra Jacinto8. April, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This review covers the two water leaks at my condo during the past 4+ months. The water heater was replaced since I thought that it was leaking. About a week afterwards, I noticed that the carpet was very damp again. My plumber also noticed that the drywall adjacent to the water heater was very damp. He suggested that I call America Response to remediate the water damage caused by a leak from the upstairs condo. Christian from American Response set up fans with a dehumidifier for a four day dry out period. The reconstruction team from American Response removed the damaged drywall and observed the source of the leak from the upstairs water heater. The upstairs owner then presumably had the leaky pipe repaired. The reconstruction team did a fantastic job with the repairs (new drywall with insulation, retexturing with painting, and reassembly of affected cabinets and backsplash). American Response deserves a 5 stars rating in terms of communications and excellent work quality. Unfortunately, the repair didn't hold, so I had to call American Response to deal with a repeat water damage control recently. They again responded quickly and dried out the walls and carpeting to prevent any growth of mold/pathogens. I highly recommend American Response to deal with any water damage scenarios quickly and professionally so that you can have "peace of mind." Thank you, American Response Team. Kenway Hoey31. March, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jimmy and Tony came out for 2 separate issues. Both were on time, very knowledgeable, thorough in their inspection, and very honest about their findings. They gave advice about how we could resolve the minor issues ourselves and didn’t require hiring them. This company is truly looking to help people and not just be hired for the money. If you’re looking for a knowledgable company with their honest opinion, call these guys! I’m so glad I did! Jessica Day14. March, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. American Response Team did a nice job with remediation and reconstruction of our kitchen when we had a flood. I especially appreciate Arturo Meza who answered his phone when I called, got back to me when he said he would, and did what he said he would do. That's hard to find anymore. Lisa Contreras24. Based on 198 reviews This review is long overdue. We had to call American Response Team at the end of last year for water damage caused by a leak in the wall. It was a stressful situation, but after I filed a claim with the insurance, they handled everything. Everyone on the team was very professional. We first met with Manny, who came back as many times as needed to dry the water-damaged area. The restoration crew, managed efficiently by Arturo, was hardworking and super friendly. Thank you, American Response Team! Claire T.May 19, 2025 Amazing from start to finish! Initial assessment, communication, customer service...ALL positive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Shout out to Director of Operations, Jimmy! Melissa G.May 17, 2025 We've had to call on American Response Team twice now--both times for the same general area in our home. Samuel C.April 16, 2025 Outstanding and professional company!! highly recommend to anyone looking for water remediation, and the best part is that they also handle repairs . manuel c.April 9, 2025 July 2024, pipe burst causing water damage to kitchen and 2 bathrooms. American Response Team handled the cleanup and repairs. 9 months later, work is complete. I would like to thank Moises Cibrian, Operations Manager, for coordinating the repairs. Thank you for your help and patience. In particular, however, I commend Arturo Meza, Project Coordinator. When things got dicey due to insurance issues, communication issues, work quality, etc., I could always count on Arturo to answer my calls for help in a matter of minutes. He was always able to resolve issues in a timely manner and keep me informed. Dependable, available, reliable, a true professional. And he kept me sane, seeing me through the entire process. Additionally, I want to thank all of the mitigation folks and vendors for their hard work. Maureen C.March 22, 2025 Called with a concern of mold from a leak and Tony came out the very next day. He was on time, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, thorough with his inspection, and most importantly he was honest! He was straight up with his findings - which was way better than I anticipated. Jimmy also came out a separate time for another mold concern in our bathroom. He was all the things Tony was and also gave me some really great advice that didn't require me to hire them. It such a breath of fresh air to have quality companies like this still exist where they are there to help and not trying to take advantage of you! If you're in need of (possible) mold assistance, call these guys!! You'll be so glad you did! Jessica D.March 14, 2025 Jimmy was awesome. We weren't sure if we had a mold problem or not. He came out and didn't find any problems. He gave a few recommendations, but told us the truth. We don't need remediation. I really appreciate Jimmy's honesty and patience. Very informative. elizabeth l.February 20, 2025 Christian Carmona was fantastic. He was honest, straightforward, and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary fixes. He gave me excellent advice and saved me money. Highly recommend him for his integrity and expertise. Xiang M.January 28, 2025 The team at American Response has been so helpful. Had a kitchen leak and they were out within a very short amount of time to start the drying process. Felipe has been super helpful in walking me through the process and all next steps. The speed and thoroughness has been amazing and they think of every detail. Bridget S.July 26, 2024Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. What Is a Mold Inspection Escondido Service?

A mold inspection is a thorough evaluation of your property to detect visible and hidden mold growth.
Our Escondido mold inspection team uses advanced equipment—like thermal imaging and moisture meters—to identify water intrusion and high-risk areas.
In Escondido, aging plumbing systems, stucco exteriors, and long dry seasons followed by heavy rains make mold detection a crucial service.
Even homes with no visible mold can have serious hidden problems behind walls or in crawlspaces.
What Does the Mold Inspection Process Involve?
When you book a mold inspection in Escondido, here’s what we include:
Visual inspection of baseboards, ceilings, attic, and HVAC
Moisture meter readings to detect leaks
Thermal imaging to uncover unseen moisture pockets
Air and/or surface samples for lab analysis
Clear report outlining findings, risks, and recommendations
If we find mold, we’ll connect you with our remediation team for safe and complete cleanup.
When Should You Schedule a Mold Inspection?
You smell musty odors in your home or business
You’ve had past water damage or plumbing leaks
You’re in the process of buying or selling a property
You or a loved one has worsening asthma or allergies
You see bubbling paint, warped baseboards, or staining
Escondido’s fluctuating humidity and large temperature swings can lead to condensation issues in walls, garages, and attics—even in newer homes.
Insurance Claim Support for Mold Inspection Escondido
If the mold in your home stems from a covered event, such as a pipe burst or roof leak, your homeowners insurance may pay for inspection and remediation.
We help Escondido homeowners navigate claims by documenting findings professionally, preparing insurance-compliant reports, and using Xactimate estimates—standard across the restoration industry.
We know what restoration companies do and how to align your paperwork with insurer expectations.
What to Do When You Need a Mold Inspection Escondido

When to Hire a Professional Mold Inspection
While minor mold growth might seem manageable, certain indicators necessitate professional intervention.
If mold is suspected but not visible
Often, mold growth can be hidden behind walls, under flooring, or in attics and crawl spaces. A musty odor, even without visible mold, is a strong indicator that a professional inspection is needed to locate and address the hidden source.
After water damage
Any incident involving water intrusion, such as a burst pipe, leaky roof, or flood, creates an ideal environment for mold to thrive. Even if the area appears dry, moisture can linger and lead to mold growth within 24-48 hours. A thorough inspection is crucial to prevent widespread contamination and structural damage.
Before buying or selling a property
A pre-purchase mold inspection can protect buyers from unforeseen remediation costs and health risks. For sellers, addressing potential mold issues proactively can facilitate a smoother sale and increase buyer confidence, avoiding last-minute complications during escrow.
If health symptoms suggest poor indoor air quality
Persistent or unexplained health issues like respiratory problems (coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath), allergies, skin irritation, headaches, or fatigue can be linked to mold exposure. If these symptoms worsen indoors or improve when away from the property, a professional mold inspection can help determine if indoor air quality is a contributing factor.
When is it OK to DIY Mold Remediation?
You can often clean small amounts of mold on surfaces with good ventilation yourself, but remember to wear gloves, a respirator mask, and eye protection.
However, if you’re unsure how much mold there is or if anyone in your home has ongoing symptoms like breathing problems, skin irritation, or allergies, it’s time to call in mold remediation specialists.
Mold can hide, and improper cleaning can make it worse or cause health issues.
Professionals will inspect, contain, and remove the mold properly, stopping it from coming back.
Why Delaying a Mold Inspection in Escondido Is a Mistake

Potential Risks of Waiting for Mold Inspection
Mold spreads quickly in humid environments
Imagine leaving a wet towel in a dark, warm place. Soon, it might start to smell funny and get little fuzzy spots. Mold is similar! It loves places that are damp and doesn't need much light to grow. If your house has a lot of moisture, like from a leaky pipe or a humid bathroom, mold can spread very fast, almost like a tiny plant growing quickly.
Health risks may worsen (respiratory issues, brain fog, fatigue)
When mold grows, it releases tiny spores into the air, which are like super small seeds. If you breathe in too many of these spores, it can make you feel sick. Some people might start to cough a lot or have trouble breathing, like when you have a stuffy nose. Others might feel tired all the time or have trouble thinking clearly, like when your brain feels a little foggy.
Home sale delays or insurance denials
If you try to sell your house and there's mold, it can be a big problem. Buyers might not want to buy a house with mold because they know it's unhealthy and expensive to fix. This can make it take much longer to sell your house, or even make the sale fall through completely. Also, sometimes insurance companies won't pay for mold damage if they think you didn't fix a problem, like a leak, quickly enough.
Higher costs when mold spreads to HVAC or framing
Mold doesn't just stay on the surface; it can grow deep into things. If it gets into your HVAC system (that's the heating and air conditioning that circulates air through your house), it can spread mold spores all over. If it gets into the wooden beams or walls of your house, called the framing, it can weaken them over time, like how termites can eat wood. Fixing these kinds of mold problems is much more expensive because it involves a lot more work and might even mean tearing down parts of your house.
Coastal homes with minimal airflow—like those near La Jolla Cove or Torrey Pines—are especially vulnerable.
